Mixed feelings

We have rented a full machine from NFO for about 4 years now and our hardware is getting outdated compared to their current packages. I started by making a ticket to request a price adjustment on the bill, this was their reply: ""I could give you a further discount on a new machine, if that would help you. As you noticed, an E3-1270v3 machine would be far more capable than what you have: Perhaps 30% faster, with double the RAM, double the hard drive space, and a larger SSD. We would certainly be able to assist with moving your existing IP address over, as well."" They are very helpful when it comes to new machines and upgrades, but loyal subscribers like myself are being forced to overpay on slower machines or pay top dollar to upgrade. This is really just a warning for long term users. If you plan to keep the service for more than a year, you might want to look somewhere else. May change this review if I'm able to work out a deal with John (CEO of NFO).

Great service & support!

We've been with them for over 2 years have nothing but good things to say about NFO.They are always great through their support and take good care of you. We have one dedicated server and two game servers, each have great performance and DDOS protection (unfortunately had to experience once, so I know it works well). Their control panel is admittingly a bit dated looking, however it works very well & I'd prefer a functional panel, then an updated buggy one. Overall I give full recommendations to use NFO Servers. I know I will continue to use their services for years to come.

Good service.

Service and support is good, however, the prices are far too high. In my opinion there are cheaper hosts.

Amazing Support

Reviews on here will say the support is amazing and they aren't lying! Lightning fast replies and kind, personable support. Helpful and friendly for those who aren't amazingly code-savvy. Have been with NFO for nearly 8 years and I would definitely recommend them. Server control UI is also a very simple, easy to understand CSS layout.

Horrible experience. Broken server, no fix, refusing to refund.

I had previously had a server in 2016, and had no issues, but I guess alot has changed in 3 years, because this company ripped me off. I paid for a game server for the game "Pirates, Vikings and Knights II". Because it worked fine in 2016, I figured it would work again in 2019, but nope. Right off the bat, the server was outdated, so I had to open a ticket for them to update it. I wish the problems ended there, but the server wasn't displaying in the server browser constantly. At first I thought maybe it was being blacklisted by the game, like some sort of filter, but the devs of the game confirmed to me no such filters exist, and it became clear through troubleshooting that it was NFOServers, not the game... furthermore, 26 servers at this very moment, from other providers, are showing up in the list, but mine from NFOServers is not. How much more obvious is it that the issue is on their end, but they insist we need to "trouble shoot more to see what the cause is before we can issue a refund". Well, I've been troubleshooting for 2 days, and within those 2 days, I probably dumped somewhere between 8 to 16 hours. I'm exhausted and burnt out, I was very patient with these people the entire time, I was not rude, but the minute I asked for a refund, the agent got nasty. I have since had to file a report with the Better Business Bureau and open a dispute with Paypal, because now they are refusing to offer further support and continuing to refuse a refund, and the sad part is, it is only $14.57, that is a tiny amount of money for them, but alot for me considering I got nothing out of it except 2 days wasted, and it is their fault, no one elses. Avoid this company.

Expensive But Worth It!

Honestly at first glance NFOServers may look overpriced but the experience is great. Customer service gets back in minutes sometimes and the servers and their custom panel is awesome. Some companies have fancy looking panels that are very slow but not NFO they have a very minimal CSS designed panel which works very fast and efficiently.

Short and simple review.

After using NFO Servers, I can recommend them if you have a hefty wallet, however, if you're looking for something cheap, this is not your place. The support is top-of-the-line, and the responses are very fast.

Detailed reason on why NFO is the best

I have used many hosts in the past years, but none have been as good a NFO. I have been a dedicated and loyal customer to NFO for 4 years now and they provide top notch support, listen to suggestions, host a VERY fast server, and have decent prices. Most other hosts use a cPanel based program. But NFO is different. It is faster and more reliable. When it comes to Garry's Mod hosting, you need a fast clock speed on the CPU you are hosting with, because source engine blocks the use of more than 1 core. Which is exactly what NFO has: Dual Intel Xeon E5-2667v3 (Haswell 3.2ghz) node with 16 total processor cores and 128 gigabytes of RAM You will never get issues with DDoSing, for some reason it says there is no DDoS protection on this website, but that is not true. They redirect the packet loss into honeypots and then if need be, they will spam null route the server. If your server gets DDoSed, it will be fixed within 30 minutes. The quality of the servers is also ineradicable, the speed is unlike any other host and as long as you know how to set up a Gmod server, it will never lag. I would 101% reccomend this host for anyone.

They listen to suggestions the support is off the hook 24/7 within MINUTES a responce! Holy cow they are good!

They respond to any troubles you have fast and easy! I also think their VDS option is very reliable. The free webhost plan witht the game server is extremely good if you want a forum, or a place for fastdl.

Excellent host. Replies to tickets within minutes if not less than a minute. Extremely customizable and even comes with a webhost plan free with a server!
